Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty players can download a mobile app made specifically for Call of Duty: Elite, the online social networking stat-tracking service for Call of Duty games.

The Call of Duty: Elite mobile app is however, currently on offer in the Apple iTunes Store for iPhone and iPad. For Android, it should be available next week.

If you’re on Elite, and own an Apple device, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t give it a try – it’s free. Of course unless you have the PC version of Modern Warfare 3/Black Ops – for some reason, Elite has yet to launch on the platform.

Activision was planning to roll out its mobile app for the Elite service alongside its launch back in November, however, the infamous difficulties associated with heavy network congestion delayed the mobile iteration of the app.
