THQ has confirmed a special edition for its first-person shooter, Homefront, which will come under the label Homefront: Ultimate Edition.

While there’s no official word mentioning why the new edition will be ‘ultimate’, we expect it to feature the previously released multiplayer map packs – The Rock and Fire Sale; perhaps some extra goodies will be thrown in as well.

Ultimate Edition is listed for launch before the end of THQ’s financial year – that’s sometime before March 31st.

THQ already confirmed that a follow-up is planned for its averagely received shooter, with Crytek UK being on board as new developer of the sequel. This comes after closure of original New York-based developer, Kaos Studios.

Other than his excessively biased enthusiasm toward gaming, and technology behind the whole industry, there's a huge fondness inside that drives him nuts to pick up his keyboard and start writing for the love of it.
