Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II announced
Marks the return of Metal Sonic and Tails.
After the well-received release of Sonic Generations, Sega returns with another pleasing announcement for fans of the blue mascot. Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II is coming out sometime this year for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Android, Windows Phone 7 and iOS.
While no solid details were disclosed, Sonic 4: Episode II apparently marks the return of Metal Sonic, as well as Tails, the blue hedgehog’s good old friend. A new graphics and physics engine is said to be powering the new game.
“After twenty years in action, it’s clear that Sonic hasn’t slowed down one bit,” said Haruki Satomi, Senior Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA of America. “The first entry in the Sonic 4 saga was a major success. We’ve listened to the fans and been hard at work making sure we recapture that same spirit of fun in Episode II. We hope the fans will enjoy it.”
