My reaction is

A curious YouTube user has pitted PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS in a furious battle to find out whos battery lasts longer – a major concern of any new handheld, apparently.

The Vita is running Uncharted: Golden Abyss, whereas the 3DS, and the PSP, which has been included for kicks, are running Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. All the handhelds have their brightness on the highest setting, with the 3DS maxing on its 3D-slider.

Result? Amongst all the three, the PSP wins by providing 9 hours of juice – but hey, who gives a twig about PSP anyway? The result we are all looking for here is between the Vita and the 3DS. Although having a larger 2210mAh battery against 3DS’ 1300mAh, the Vita does have more power intensive hardware what with all the four-core and 5″ OLED screen ticking at once. Despite that, the Vita came out victorious by lasting upto 3 hours and 47 minutes, as compared to 3DS’ measly 2 hours and 35 minutes.

As proof, here is the whole 9min video.

There is nothing to feel good about, though. As standalone, either of the system’s battery hours are rather pathetic.
