MEGamers Game of the Year 2011 – People’s Choice Awards

There is a very simple way to measure how ‘great’ a year has been for video games: how many games you still have left pending by the end of it. Undoubtedly then, what with games like Skyrim, The Witcher 2, Uncharted 3, Gears of War 3, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, etc., 2011 has been a truly fantastic year for gaming. Sure, there were a lot of prequels, sequels and three-quels, but the industry also showed an inclination towards exploring different ideas, new genres and interestingly gameplay mechanics; and not to forget the Frostbite 2 Engine – oh those glorious pixels.

Like every year then, it is time to honor the best of the best with what little we can: our own Game of the Year awards. However, unlike previous years, we are now giving the power to our readers to vote and decide on their favorite games of this year. In the next few pages, you will find the various categories on which you can cast your vote in. The voting will end on January 7th, 2012, following which the winners will be announced.

So grab a cup of whatever you rock with, and aim.
