DiRT Showdown an arcade racer spin-off coming in May

DiRT 4 still happening.
Codemasters has lifted the wraps on DiRT Showdown, a spin-off from the main racing franchise, which aims to bring arcade elements to the spotlight with the inclusion of a destruction derby style races, Gymkhana and other arcade-esque influences.
Showdown will feature three types of racing events – standard racing, stunt-driven racing and another one about destroying other cars. You can hop into the online seatbelt along with eight other players – it also supports two-player split-screen.
This isn’t a sequel to DiRT 3, which means while Showdown will focus on being an arcade racer, expect DiRT 4 to be more about simulation…sort of.
DiRT Showdown is due out in May for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Catch the reveal trailer below.
