Activision promises CoD Elite “will arrive on PC”
It’s bound to happen, someday.
Activision has tossed down chatters that suggested Call of Duty Elite might not be available to PC users after all, explaining that the service will indeed arrive to the so-far-neglected platform.
Initially, a controversial tweet from Elite’s official account has somewhat led followers to discern that the PC release of the Beachhead-developed application is not ensured. “We cannot guarantee if or when a version will be available for the PC,” it said.
However, now another tweet has retraced the thrown words, and said. “We misspoke. Our goal has always been to provide a free PC offering for ELITE. Stay tuned for an update as timing is still being determined.”
Call of Duty’s social networking feature has been available to console users since the launch of Modern Warfare 3. The service faced technical issues since then, with Activision explaining that a “greater than expected demand”, which flooded the network, is the main cause of the difficulties.
