Will We Get Batman 2?
“We’ll have to wait and see if anyone buys this,” – Rocksteady.
Case: You made a great game. So great, it is being hailed as the second coming for superhero games. So good, critics and fans are eating out of your hands. It is pretty obvious the game is doing well. Following up on the success with a sequel would be the most easiest decision you will ever make in your life, right? Not if you are Rocksteady, the folks behind the hugely acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum. When quizzed, the development studio wouldn’t commit without first looking at the sales excel sheet.
“We’ll have to wait and see if anyone buys this,” lead narrative designer, Paul Crocker told us last week when we quizzed him on the potential for a sequel. He’d obviously not seen the UK Charts at this point.
“I hope so. We’re just really pleased to have been given the chance to work on Batman. I’m a complete comics nerd, I used to work in a comics store… this is a dream come true for me.
“I’m sure people will want more,” he added. “We don’t know. You’ll have to wait and see.”
Even a blind man could tell the game is topping charts. So…we guess…Batman 2 confirmed?
