DC Universe Online now available for free

PlayStation 3 and PC Superhero-based MMO DC Universe Online is now available as a free-to-play online RPG, with subscription fees being dropped out starting from today.
As it’s the case with the F2P business model, the free chunk of the game grants access to the basic piece of DC Universe Online, allowing players to create two distinctive characters and join a league. Of course, much like any microtransaction-focused process, players can expand on their character slots and add game packs by shelling out cash.
DC Universe Online will also include a subscription feature dubbed ‘Legendary’ – it runs for a monthly fee of $15, allowing players to have access to DLC at no extra cost, over 15 character and 80 inventory slots.
