Bioshock 2 – Multiplayer Footage
2K Games releases first multiplayer footage of its anticipated underwater shooter.
Digital Extremes gives us the first glimpse into the multiplayer realm of Bioshock 2. They are, of course, the Team Multiplayer of 2K Games’ awaited shooter sequel. They were the people behind the Unreal Tournament games, so don’t be surprised if the action resembles the fast paced shooter.
In fact, the resemblance is a bit too frequent. The chaotic fast paced action screams Unreal Tournament. What should have been a deeply rooted experience is being made out to be a generic Unreal game with Bioshock 2 character models. The availability of Plasmids is definitely a plus and will surely mix things up but the element lack of strategy and focus that the multiplayer requires feels absent. We only hope that this was badly edited trailer and the retail component will be a much richer experience.
