New Assassin’s Creed iOS title announced
Multiplayer spin-off titled ‘Rearmed’ recreated in top-down mobile format.
Ubisoft has revealed Assassin’s Creed Multiplayer Rearmed, a spin-off release of the Assassin’s Creed franchise for iOS platforms.
The game is a microtransaction-based free-to-play that allows players to compete against other people online in a 4-player based arena, with combat mode based on the popular free-for-all, together with an Assassin Creed-ish hide-and-seek type of thing. It also boasts tons of viable customizations.
An offline mode is extant as well, alongside Game Center support, leaderboards and achievements, in addition to a crammed social networking integration from Facebook and Twitter.
The game promises “stunning visuals and environments”, and features locales from Venice, San Donato, Alhambra and Jerusalem.
Ubisoft didn’t mention a release date, although IGN is reporting the game has mysteriously showed up on the Canadian App Store.
