Namco Bandai has revealed the official release date for its upcoming weapon-based brawler, Souls Calibur V, confirming Ezio’s Assassin’s Creed II as a guest character in the process.

The highly-anticipated fighting game is due out on January 31 in North America, while Europe will get it few days later on February 3.

Elsewhere, the Japanese company confirmed recent rumors that suggested Ezio Auditore’s existence as a playable character in Soul Calibur V. Namco says that Ezio will carry plenty of tricks up his sleeves for use in his combat against other folks, specifically tools that Assassin’s Creed II and Brotherhood players are well-accustomed to, including the famous Hidden Blade, Roman Longsword and Stiletto.

There’s also a new Soul Calibur V trailer showing the first footage of the hooded assassin. Catch it below.
