Online Pass affects Catwoman’s presence in Batman: Arkham City

Seems like Online Passes are pretty much the hip these days, even with games that basically are offline-focused. It’s been revealed that Warner’s superhero sequel, Batman: Arkham City, will require the online pass system included in new game copies to unlock content that involves the presence of the elusive Catwoman.
According to Warner Bros., Catwoman makes about 5 to 10 percent of the overall story experience and thus her appearance isn’t crucial to finish the game. Regardless of what they believe, it’s still a part of the game that is unfortunately locked behind a code.
Second hand buyers of Arkham City need to fork out $9.99 and 800 MS Points to purchase a digital version of the online VIP pass via PlayStation Network and Xbox Live respectively. Otherwise, they have to deal with a Batman game without playing as Catwoman.
