Few select players will be given the opportunity to test out Counter Strike: Global Offensive next month, as Valve revealed that its closed PC beta is launching in October.

Available via an invite-only procedure between a handful of lucky folks, Valve affirmed to theReticule during the Eurogamer Expo that its beta would initially launch for limited people who gain the keys at the expo itself, in addition to skilled pro gamers from the community.

Valve’s Chet Faliszenk pledged the community that the beta will keep on slowly expanding in hopes that everyone will eventually get a taste of CS: GO before the end of the year.
