Playstation Vita is region free
Who’s importing?
Itchy importers, we have good news. After sitting on the information for the longest of time, Sony has finally revealed the last bit of the nugget needed to seal the deal for many gamers: Playstation Vita is indeed region free.
Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studio boss Shuhei Yoshida replied in a simple “Yes, it is” when asked if the upcoming handheld was going to be region free or not.
So, that’s good news indeed. Come December 17, you can import one directly from Japan if you don’t mind paying exuberant prices for it and have a system that’s completely in Japanese – although you will be able to set it to English.
Playstation Vita will cost you 24, 980 yen/$325 for the WiFi version or 29, 980 yen/$390 for the 3G version.
