Square Enix, this time around, confirmed a set of release dates for its approaching RPG sequel, Final Fantasy XIII-2, in all territories.

According to the publisher, Final Fantasy XIII-2 will land first in Japanese stores on December 15. As for the “early 2012” bit for western territories, Square Enix has made the quote more clear, revealing a solid release window in those specific regions – the role-player will hit North American shelves on January 31 and will follow shortly after in Europe on February 3.

Final Fantasy XIII-2, the anticipated sequel to this gen’s first Final Fantasy console outing, is developed for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
