Playstation Vita Remote Play demoed at TGS
Won’t be accessible at launch, still.
At it’s TGS conference, Sony took the opportunity to showcase the Remote Play feature available in Playstation Vita. Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida took to stage and went down to business with Killzone 3, playing a passage from the shooter completely with the awaited handheld.
According to reports, although the feature is still in development and will not be available at launch, the Killzone 3 demonstration was almost “seamless”. The Vita connects to the PS3 using a WiFi connection – so no cables or any sort of add-on is required to connect to the system.
The handheld’s rear touchpad will work as the shoulder buttons of the DualShock controller, i.e, the upper half of the pad will represent L2 and R2, while the bottom half will represent L3 and R3.
Playstation Vita was dated for December 17 for Japan yesterday. A list of launch titles, which includes the likes of Uncharted, was revealed as well.
