Rumor: 3 million DiRT 3 promotional codes leaked online

Simple hack leaks Steam codes for Codemasters’ racer.
According to a Steam user, apparently a Bohemia Interactive (Arma II) employee, three million promotional codes for DiRT 3 has been leaked on to the interwebs.
The codes were part of a deal between Codemasters and AMD to promote the racer through various channels, including shipping it with multiple AMD graphics cards, and through the media, such us.
Apparently, the codes were stored in a simple .sql database file, which was easily accessed by a .htaccess method.
Neither Codemasters, Steam, or AMD have issued a statement regarding the issue.
