Five million joined the service since January.
According to Joystiq, Microsoft’s online service for its home console, Xbox Live, has surpassed the 35 million users.
Xbox Live marketing manager for EMEA Robin Burrowes broke the piece of news, and stated that the “audience growth is up to 35 million people globally across those 35 countries on Xbox Live itself”.
The service had a substantial growth of about 5 million users since early this year.
He didn’t get into the details of disclosing the exact number of subscribers in the premium portion of the service – Xbox Live Gold. However, Joystiq reports that last tracked number indicates that around 12 million Xbox Live users are Gold members.
