Wii will get a bit of trim this Christmas, shedding of weight, as well as Gamecube compatibility, Eurogamer reports.

The new, slimmer Wii will retail during Christmas, though there is no solid date. It will be bundled with Wii Sports and Wii Party. Players who want to avoid motion controls, will have to shell out for Wii’s Classic Controller.  There is no word on the pricing yet.

If you plan to play Gamecube games with your Wii, better start convincing your parents now.
