Zumba Fitness sells three million, sequel confirmed
Workout game is a massive success, more coming this November…
Dancing workout title Zumba Fitness continues to impress, as it managed to shift more than 3 million units worldwide, according to publisher Majesco.
Zumba Fitness is amazingly unstoppable sales-wise – it’s been reigning the top ten UK weekly charts on a steady basis, conquering the core and serving as the bestselling game for eleven weeks straight in the English kingdom.
As a result, the publisher doesn’t see any reason to stop the franchise, therefor, the madness will continue – they’ve revealed a sequel titled Zumba Fitness 2. It’s coming to the Nintendo Wii only thus far, and is said to boast 30 new tracks from the likes of Pitbull, Yolanda Be Cool, DCup and Nicole Scherzinger.
“These talented artists are played across the globe because their songs make people want to get up and dance,” said Lisa Roth, Lead Producer, Majesco Entertainment. “We’re excited to pair our exclusive soundtrack with hot new choreography that will kick-start the workout and amp up the fun for millions of Zumba video game fans.”
Workout follow-up title will grace the Wii this November, while another unannounced console will get it “early 2012”.
