Rumor: Valve developing new Counter Strike
Half Life makers goes on the Global Offensive.
Call of Duty and Battlefield, meet your maker. According to a new set of rumors, Valve is currently busy preparing a brand new Counter Strike game.
According to ESEA’s Craig “Torbull” Levine, the game is called Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. A bunch of eSports players were invited at the HQ to help develop the game. Neither of them had to sign an NDA, hence the leak, however Valve requested to not post any pictures or videos.
The rumor was then backed up by ESL Pro manager Bastion Vieser. “Just spend all day playing the new Counterstrike Global Offensive #CSGO at the #Valve HQ ! God I love my job.. oh and yeah… its that good!”
Valve, as usual, is tight-lipped on the subject. Gamescom is next week, where Valve will hold a DOTA 2 competition. Can we expect an announcement then?
