Activision confirms Modern Warfare 3 for Wii

Last night, during Activision’s investor call, the publisher confirmed a Wii iteration of the upcoming Infinity Ward FPS, Modern Warfare 3, stating that it’ll hit Nintendo’s platform later this year.
While this might be the first official confirmation we’ve had, reports of a Wii release has been long-speculated, noting that a Nintendo Wii game case was spotted at E3 rocking MW3’s box art.
Activision didn’t state whether development duty of the Wii version has been given to Infinity Ward. For now, all we know is that you’ll have the opportunity to play Modern Warfare 3 via a Wiimote!
The game comes out also for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
