Soul Calibur V trailer shows new characters in action
Comic-Con trailer displays newcomers Natsu, Zwei alongside a more modest Ivy.
Namco Bandai has sent out a fresh trailer for its forthcoming fighter, Soul Calibur V, showcasing a number of new characters in brawler’s latest iteration.
Taki’s apprentice newcomer Natsu, a 17-year-old Ninja, is present in the latest footage, who demos some of the borrowed moves from her well-gifted mentor. There’s some Ivy screen time as well – apparently she has put on some more cloth than before. The trailer also introduces newest male addition, Zwei, who shows a rather unique fighting stance.
Soul Calibur V’s settings takes place 17 years after the franchise’s last entry, and while this might be the impeccable chance for Project Soul to expand imagination and creativity, apparently, the studio isn’t willing to take much risk and has opted to stick to the brawler’s roots, which still, isn’t really a bad thing if you ask me.
Soul Calibur V is due out in 2012 for PS3 and Xbox 360.
