Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders on track to set a new record
UK retailer GAME confirms forthcoming shooter is “tracking significantly ahead” of Call of Duty: Black Ops.
No matter how high are the records set sales-wise by each installment of Call of Duty – the newer one just keeps dethroning its direct predecessor. The Activision shooter is unstoppable, and Modern Warfare 3 seems no different.
UK retailer GAME has revealed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is currently racking up some impressive pre-order numbers, smashing the ones set by Treyarch’s 2010 release, Black Ops.
“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders are already tracking significantly ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops at the same time last year,” GAME Group MD Tom Devine told MCV.
“We know that the Call of Duty brand and franchise has the most amazing fan-base and we’ve got some great surprises lined up for those who pre-order with us. We’re looking forward to an incredible launch on November 8th.”
Modern Warfare 3 is slated for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
