Microsoft is laying any fears to rest and has ensured Halo fans that the upcoming Anniversary edition of Halo: Combat Evolved won’t have too much of Kinect to bother them.

Speaking to VG247, Microsoft said that Kinect features in the game will be “additive” only, and will not affect the “core gameplay experience.”

“It’s no surprise we’re exploring ways Kinect can enhance game experiences in authentic and meaningful ways,” said MS UK in a statement.

“The Kinect features we’re exploring with ‘Halo: Anniversary’ are additive and will not affect the core gameplay experience or alter our mission of delivering a faithful recreation of the original game. That said we have nothing else to share just yet.”

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is set to enter retail orbit on November 15.
