Insomniac Games has the released the first developer diary for Resistance 3 called ‘Cold New World’, which as the name would suggest, focuses on the different environments players will engage the good fight on.
Interestingly, art direct Grant Hollis chose to address one of the pet peeves of FPS gamers, and that is the brown-washed visuals that developers can’t seem to get enough of these days. He said that the game will not be devoid of color, “it’s just controlled color”. Not really promising, although the video does back him up showing varied environmental color schemes.
Resistance 3 releases on September 9 exclusively for the PS3.
