Gamestop to honor DNF pre-order receipt from 13 years ago
If you haven’t torn it out from frustration yet.
US-based local retailer Gamestop confirmed to Gamepro that it will still honor pre-orders made for Duke Nukem Forever when it was originally announced in 1997.
“We encourage customers who pre-ordered more than a year ago to verify their reservation with their local store prior to launch,” Gamestop replied in a statement.
“Provided the customer has a receipt, we will honor even those pre-orders taken long ago. At this time, we expect that all pre-order customers will receive Duke’s Big Package at time of purchase, regardless of when the reservation was made.”
The Big Package edition, which is a Gamestop-exclusive, includes three downloadable packs – extra health, big head mode and T-shirts.
We wonder how many will redeem their 13 year old pre-order. Those who still have their receipts, however, we have only this to say, “Hail to the King, baby!”
