Modern Warfare 3 to get “exceptional” post-launch support, says Infinity Ward
Developer promises the third entry will get frequent patches.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will get a strong post-launch support according to Infinity Ward creative strategist, Robert Bowling,
When asked on twitter by a fan whether the company has plans on supporting the game following its launch, Bowling affirmed that post-release support is a “major focus” for IW, promising that players can expect constant patches for Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer.
Bowling also stated that fan feedback regarding Modern Warfare 2 has motivated the team on providing better support for its follow-up.
The multiplayer mode in Modern Warfare 2 was however, a victim to a barrage of hacks and exploits right after release in 2009. Though, Infinity Ward was highly-criticized by fans for taking so long to address the online glitches that allowed for unbearable cheats.
Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg yesterday issued the company’s first public reaction to the major MW3 leak, explaining how they’ve attempted to roll with the breach by turning a negative situation into a positive one.
