Beyond Good & Evil 2, I Am Alive still in development
Ubisoft pledges fans that long-awaited titles aren’t abandoned.
Publisher Ubisoft has crushed the rumors suggested that Beyond Good & Evil 2, and I Am Alive had been canned, affirming that both titles are still in the works.
Ubisoft earlier yesterday announced that a number of projects have been cancelled as a part of a new reconstructing role. However, the publisher insists that they’re a part of unannounced titles.
“Ubisoft has taken measures to adapt its structure to major changes in the industry by reorganising the roles and operations of its studios, which has resulted in the termination of certain projects,” Ubisoft said.
“Terminated projects were unannounced projects,” the company confirmed to Eurogamer.
Despite the later statement, once queried about the status of both titles, Ubi added it had “nothing new to report on those two titles for the moment.”
I Am Alive was officially announced back in E3 2008, with only a handful of media have been showcased.
However, Beyond Good & Evil 2 has been teased by Ubisoft three years ago ever since it issued a short video at Ubidays 2008. Since then, very little is known about the project.
