Activision has recently confirmed its plans for the next Call of Duty entry for this year, though, according to a new report from Kotaku, sources who have seen the game in action has confirmed to them that the next installment will feature “larger maps and destructible environments.” Sound familiar?

The source claims that the story will be much rich this time, with multiple countries involved in a massive conflict, which has a great potential in igniting a World War III scenario.

With development duty being shared between multiple studios from Sledgehammer Games, Raven Software and the remnants of Infinity Ward staff, Kotaku’s source suggests the story of the next Call of Duty will pick up where Modern Warfare 2 left off.

More info claims that celebrated heroes from MW2 John “Soap” MacTavish and John Price “may” return.

Activision is expected to officially unveil the next Call of Duty at E3 next month.

Other than his excessively biased enthusiasm toward gaming, and technology behind the whole industry, there's a huge fondness inside that drives him nuts to pick up his keyboard and start writing for the love of it.
