Rumor: Project Cafe to have feel-able touch screen
Soon, you may be able to feel your games.
If there is crazy technology available, chalk down Nintendo to be crazy enough to use it.
According to a Swedish site Loading, Nintendo’s new console, dubbed Project Cafe, will have a touch screen that you can feel, as in it will be able to change textures. The site calls it ‘Nintendo Feel’, though it is unclear if its the official name or made up by the site itself.
The touch screen will supposedly feature haptic technology which will allow players to “move their fingertips across a surface and clearly feel the difference between soft, smooth or rugged textures.” Wii’s Vitality Sensor is to play as a key feature for Nintendo Feel.
It all sounds extremely absurd, but not too far off when Nintendo’s concerned. I mean whoever thought games could be played with motion-detecting controllers? So weird.
