Dead Space movie in the works, prequest idea not so much
Dead Space movie director says a story for a movie is currently being worked on.
Director D.J. Caruso told AreaGames that a story for a Dead Space movie is currently being written. He also said that the production house had also considered a prequel to the first game but the idea “didn’t quite work out as well”.
“We’re working on the story,” director D.J. Caruso told AreaGames. “We had one attempt of trying to do a prequel, but the story didn’t quite work out as well as we wanted it to. But if we can capture how – I don’t want to say, I guess, how scary or horrifying it would be to play that game because it’s really, really fantastic. It’d be fun to make that into a movie.
Fun to make, not watch. At least we are spared a prequel with a horrible story. Good riddance, I say.
