Report: PS2 games coming to Android platforms
NVIDIA says PlayStation 2 games will eventually arrive to Tegra-equipped Android devices.
According to NVIDIA, PlayStation 2 games will launch on devices powered by Google’s Android.
Website Androidandme spotted NVIDIA’s Tegra Zone app update announcement, which says it will support Sony’s PlayStation Suite platform, and will feature PlayStation 2 software compatibility for Android devices.
The application is expected to arrive for Tegra-equipped Android phones and tablets later this year along with a batch of PSOne classics like Wild Arms, Cool Boarders 2, and Syphon Filter. Report claims that PS2 games will “eventually” hit Android’s Tegra devices.
The only confirmed Android device to feature PlayStation titles was the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, which will launch later this month.
