My reaction is

Oh, what downer. Blizzard COO Paul Sams has said that the studio’s new MMO will not be a competitor to World of Warcraft but will actually compliment it. What’s the fun in that!? Anyway, Sams says that the company has managed to assemble a “dream team” and is sure the project will “blow” our minds.

“As to our new unannounced game, we believe that it will be more complementary than competitive. And while people do have a limited amount of free time that they can devote to these types of games, we do think that people will want to check out the new and the old.

“We think the new one is very compelling and is going to capture a lot of hearts and minds and will be very successful for us,” he said.

“We have taken some of our most experienced developers and put them on this project. We believe we have a dream team. These are the people who made WoW a success. We are going to blow people’s minds,” he added.

We cannot wait to see what Blizzard has in store for us next.

Being a total WoW Fan since Vanilla, but unfortunately not having time to play it “old school style” i have been waiting for new a MMO from Blizzard for a long time. I hope this MMO requires the same skills, and theorycraft, but reduced playing time, off course there will always be people that will play it 10/12 hours a day every day of the week, but if i can get 4/5 hours per week and still get the same fun and enjoyment i used to get from WoW in my Hardcore days, i will be a very happy Panda.
