New Assassin’s Creed to be announced in May
Ubisoft confirms the next Assassin’s Creed, to be revealed this May.
Ubisoft will announce the next Assassin’s Creed game in May, CEO Yves Guillernot confirmed during the company’s Q3 financial call.
Speaking to investors throughout the conference, Guillernot said the new Assassin’s Creed will be released later this year. “We will have an Assassin’s Creed this year” Guillernot said, “We are going to give you more details in May,” he added. No other details were shared except that this game will be a “packaged title”.
Ubisoft said it plans to pour more resources into the Assassin’s Creed franchise to expand its revenue and make the franchise even more profitable. During the conference call, the publisher stated that the most recent Assassin’s Creed title, Brotherhood, has shipped 6.5 million pieces worldwide.
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood was released late 2009 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and it’s due out next month on PC.
