Transformers: Dark of the Moon details emerged
Officially announced by Activision. To feature prologue storyline to upcoming film.
Activision has released the first details of upcoming movie tie-in game, Transformers: Dark in the Moon.
The game is developed by High Moon Studios, the same team responsible for last year’s well-received title, Transformers: War of Cybertron. Dark of the Moon features an enhanced Unreal 3 engine. PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will as well include an online multiplayer mode.
The new Transformers game sees players assume the roles of a “diverse roster of everyone’s favourite Transformers” and use new “Stealth Force gameplay that lets players convert to a third form beyond robot and vehicle modes to defeat their enemies in more ways than ever before”. Players will get to “fight through the epic battles on Earth that will shape the events of the upcoming film” in unique areas around the world such as the jungles of South America, Siberian military facilities and Detroit Cityscapes.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon is expected to release sometime in May alongside the new movie for PS3 and Xbox 360. Behaviour Interactive is developing “distinct versions” for the Wii, Nintendo DS and the upcoming Nintendo 3DS.
