Nintendo 3DS European and US release date revealed
To hit the stores starting March 25 in Europe followed two days later in the US.
Nintendo has revealed the official launch date of its 3DS console in Europe and the United States.
The 3D handheld will release on March 25th in Europe and the UK priced at £229.99. The company made the announcement at a showcase event to promote its forthcoming device in Amsterdam.
“Nintendo 3DS is not just about being able to watch and play in 3D without glasses – it also offers unique social experiences” said Laurent Fischer, Nintendo of Europe’s Managing Director of Marketing & PR. “In the way Wii brought families together, Nintendo 3DS will appeal to a broad range of people.”
However, the press event for Nintendo in New York revealed that the price for the Americans is $249.99, and set the launch date on March 27, where Europeans will get it two days earlier than their US counterpart.
Nintendo is promising more than 30 games to be available during the launch window. The 3DS will be available in both Cosmos Black and Aqua Blue, with 2GB memory card as a default storage (Owners can upgrade the size of the memory), and will be backward compatible with previous Nintendo DS games.
