Sledgehammer Games developing the next Call of Duty
Developer’s official home page has a new Job listing, yes a new Call of Duty title.
It is now officially confirmed, even though Activision didn’t release a statement regarding a new Call of Duty and whether who will be publicly making the next installment of the first-person shooter. Apparently, a job listing by Sledgehammer Games somehow confirmed the upcoming Call of Duty title. It’s due later this year, and the new studio is developing the game.
The Job posting on Sledgehammer’s website advertises a vacancy for a Community Manager, also listed on Gamastura a vacancy asking whether prospective applicants would “like the chance to build and drive the studio community management effort for Sledgehammer and the next Call of Duty game”.
More than a year passed since the release of a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare title, later in 2010, Treyarch released Call of Duty: Black Ops. Sledgehammer could be very much working on a third Modern Warfare game. However, the team is probably developing his very own Call of Duty sub-series. Activision formed Sledgehammer Games in 2009. The Publisher selected Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey as studio heads, leading the development for Call of Duty’s next title.
An official announcement about the next Call of Duty has yet to be made by Activision.
