Bethesda Softworks studio head Todd Howard officially unveiled the next installment in The Elder Scrolls series, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, during the Spike TV Video Game Awards on Saturday.

A direct sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Skyrim is confirmed for a release on November 11 next year. Launch platforms were not revealed.

Bethesda has apparently been working on the game for the past two years.

The debut trailer follows below.
