UK charts: Fallout: New Vegas takes top spot

Vanquish misses out on top ten.
Bethesda’s expansive first-person RPG Fallout: New Vegas debuted at number one in this week’s UK sales charts. It displaced last week‘s entry, Medal of Honor, which moved to second. Completing the top five were FIFA 11, new entry Professor Layton and the Lost Future and Just Dance 2 which fell from third place.
Halo: Reach and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow were both pushed out of the top ten while new releases Vanquish, EA Sports MMA and DJ Hero 2 all failed to set the charts alight, entering at 12th, 23rd and 25th respectively.
Here’s the top ten:
- Fallout: New Vegas (Obsidian Entertainment, Bethesda)
- Medal of Honor (Danger Close/DICE, EA)
- FIFA 11 (EA Sports, EA)
- Professor Layton and the Lost Future (Level 5, Nintendo)
- Just Dance 2 (Ubisoft, Ubisoft)
- Wii Party (Nintendo, Nintendo)
- Wii Sports Resort (Nintendo, Nintendo)
- F1 2010 (Codemasters Birmingham, Codemasters)
- Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 (Team PES. Konami)
- Dead Rising 2 (Blue Castle Games, Capcom)
