Valve, speaking to PC Gamer UK (thanks, CVG), promised that it has at least three big surprises for gamers in the next 12 months.  And what’s more, they are going to be “shocking”.

“I can guarantee you people are going to be surprised at stuff we do. That isn’t going to stop any time soon. I’m just laughing because… people will be shocked again,” Valve boss Gabe Newell told the latest issue of PC Gamer.

“We have three pretty big surprises in the next 12 months at least.”

Let the speculation begin! Most gamers are surely hoping for anything Half Life. I mean come on, it’s been years and they have three surprise slots to fill anyway. I also reckon Valve will announce PS Move support for Portal since they have been so lovey-dovey with the platform lately (and it kind of makes sense, no?). But we shall see.

    3 titles ?

    1- Half-Life 3, obviously
    2- TF3 or L4D3
3- And the third one …. Counter-Strike Revived ? Cmon Valve bring the former best FPS game back again and a challenge vs. CoD series! I miss Counter-Strike so much .. I really do

They aren't necessarily 3 titles. And Valve better not make a new CS. It is never going to achieve the same kind of fame CS did. And hell, CS is still VERY popular around the world.

Left for dead on PS3 is surely one of them

It had BETTER be Half-life related. And I mean nothing lame like a remake or port of an already released HL game.

    I'm talking Episode 3 or Half-life 3 or bust.

And how can it be anything Left 4 Dead related and still be a surprise? I hope it's not just another damn stupid Left 4 Dead game. I know there was already a sizably pissed off army of Half-life fans about L4D2 coming out and still not a sound about Gordon Freeman.

If they say "L4D3" and no Half-life, I will start a movement of E-Mails into Gabe's inbox saying "Enough with the Left 4 Dead already, we want to fight the Combine!"
